Life has been absolutely crazy since we walked in the door last week from our little get-away. We have been going non-stop and today is the first day that I haven't felt exhausted and overwhelmed. Things are finally starting to return to normal. Crazy, but normal. When we got home we not only had to deal with the usual after vacation stuff (laundry, unpacking, laundry, work) but we also had tickets to the Nutcracker, tickets to Christmas Around the World at BYU, Syd got sick, Derek got sick, Abby got sick, I got sick, extra credit for Abby at school, decorating for Christmas, Christmas shopping, and did I mention we were in charge of TWO church ward parties. Now that everything is done and over, it was a great week. We had fun doing everything, (but being sick) but glad that it is over.
The cruise was amazing and the Bahamas was absolutely beautiful. It was so relaxing to lay in the sun with an umbrella drink and read a book. We ate amazing food, went to the spa, gambled a little money, watched comedians, jet-skied from island to island and meet the most amazing couple at dinner. Hi Stephanie and John! It was so nice to spend time with Derek and we are already looking forward to going again. Anyone want to go with us?
Here are some pics of Abby's extra credit German doll. In school they read a book called Molly's Pilgrim. Abby says it is about a girl who moves to America from Russia and all the kids tease her because of the way she talks. Abby's assignment was to create a doll that showed where her family came from. Kopp is a German name, so we started doing our research. I was planning on just a nice little paper doll, but Abby got the idea that making a 'real' doll would be way cooler. This is what happens when you mix a barbie doll, a glue gun and some fabric. Abby was so excited to take her to school and says she had the best one in the class.
I've got tons of Christmas photos and stories and projects to share, but I'll work on that tomorrow.

I'm very jealous of your vacation. I'm glad to hear you guys had lots of fun. You guys deserved it! Abby's doll looks way cute. Your good with a glue gun.:) I bet her doll was by far the cutest ever.

Glad you had fun. We might be doing a cruise in April - Naussau, Grand Turk and....can't remember the other stop - a private island I think. It's a work trip and we're trying to decide if we are going to go, or let an employee go....(I'm leaning towards being selfish.) It's with Carvnival cruise lines. Did you go with Royal Caribean again?
