In honor of Sydney's birthday, I thought it would be fun to spend the next couple of days listing all things we love about Syd (plus a couple that drive us crazy!)
-Will not look at the camera when you want to take her picture. She either turns her head or hides it. If by some small chance she does look at you, she is usually pulling faces and striking interesting poses.
- Hates her middle name, Paige. Refused to acknowledge it. She tells everyone her middle name is Bob. She even brought papers home from school last week with 'Sydney Bob' written across the top.
- Asks me at least once a day to make her a dentist or doctor appointment. I thought kids where supposed to hate going to the dentist or doctor, but Syd thinks every ache, bump and scratch should be checked out by a professional. Yesterday her finger got smashed by a rock and she begged and begged me to call the doctor. And over the last week she has asked me at least 5 times to make her a dentist appointment for different aching teeth. This morning when the dentist did call to confirm her 6 month cleaning she did a little happy dance. She gave me the biggest hug and thanked me for FINALLY calling and getting an appointment.
- Asks me the same 3 questions every night about dinner. 1: What are we having? 2: Have we had it before? 3: Did I like it? And every night I answer YES to all the questions, even if it is something new or different because she will at least try one bite. I think she is starting to catch on......
- Really doesn't like meat, except for meatballs. She told me a couple of weeks ago she is excited to make the hamburgers on the grill that don't have hamburger in them...just cheese. So basically a grilled cheese sandwich.
More to come......
Cute little sydney. We all just love her. She says the funniest things. I just have to laugh at her.

Syd comes by her hypochondriac-ism honestly enough. Her Aunt Melissa AND her uncle Greg both couldn't pass a blood pressure tester without sitting in the chair. Melissa always wanted glasses and Greg I swear would run a hairbrush down his throat so that he could show me it was RED all the time. That's only because I gave up believing him about things I couldn't actually see. Either of them would have sold their souls for some crutches!! Kids are hilarious. I'm sure they are both nuts and it has nothing to do with the fact that I always pretended I couldn't hear the sounds in the hearing tests and would intentionally say the wrong letter in the eye exam every year at school physicals. Nothing at all!!!
