I wanted to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all the special mothers in my life. You are amazing examples and role models to me. I am very blessed to know such amazing women. Thanks for all the love, support and advice. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day. I love you!
I asked the girls what makes their grandm'a so special and this is what they told me.
SYD:
• Grandma Lasley is very special because she is nice and coming to visit really soon to see my dance performance.
• Grandma Kopp is really nice because she lets me come to her house and play with all her toys.
ABBY:
• Grandma Lasley's house is tons of fun because we get to stay up and watch lots of movies.
• Grandma Kopp has lots of animals and I love animals.

I also want to thank my little family for such a special Mother's Day. I was completely spoiled. Derek not only gave me a break and taught my 6 year old Primary class, but he also didn't complain at all as parked myself on the couch and went on a Julia Robert's movie marathon all afternoon. Thanks for making me feel so loved and special.
Abby had a special Mother's Day program at her class last Friday complete with songs, poems and refreshments. She was the announcer and did a great job in front of everyone.
Syd gave me a 'Little Chef's' Cookbook that is a collection of favorite recipes from her kindergarten class, according to the kindergartners. It is hilarious. Here is Sydney's recipe for Cupcake and Brownies.
INGREDIENTS:
-Brownie Mix
For cupcakes you need:
-1 cup of flour
-2 spoonfuls or baking soda
-Stuff that you spray the pan with
DIRECTIONS:
First you put all of the ingredients in a bowl. Then you put it in the oven at 10 degrees for 5 minutes. Then after it comes out of the over you eat it.
We haven't tried this exact recipe at our house before, but I'm sure it's delicious.
Wow....that recipe sounds just like the one I used for banana pudding yesterday!
Hope you had a great mother's day!

Thanks for the sweet blog Jess. I'd also like to thank you for being such an amazing mother to my grand kids! They have a strong role model in you that will shape who they become in a very positive way. Besides that, your influence will shape generations to come because of the lessons they've learned from you. I've heard it said that you never know what kind of parent you've been till you see how your grandchildren turn out. I'm sure your mom will join me in thinking maybe we did better than we thought!!
