1. Hello everyone. I am alive, even though this blog has been dead. Sorry. Life has been WAY crazier then usual and I've had WAY less energy then usual, but we are surviving summer and all the rain it is bringing. My goal is to download all of the photos on my camera this week and do a couple of makeup posts.
2. The girls snuck out of the house this morning at 8 o'clock still in their pajamas after eating a health breakfast of Laffy Taffies and Oreo Pop Tarts. When I finally rolled my largeness out of the bed at 8:30 (because I had to go to the bathroom SOOO bad) I found them in the neighbors yard, playing soccer, and asked if they wanted something healthier for breakfast. They told me the Laffy Taffies are fruit flavored and that makes them healthy.
3. I took their advice and just had a strawberry one. Nothing like a jolt of sugar to make the baby start kicking. Not quite the same as a fresh strawberry, but I can see where they are coming from. I might grab another one.
4. Baby Boy Kopp comes in 20 days (or sooner). I'm part Lasley so, of course, sooner really isn't an option, but a time on July 13th has been official scheduled. Bless my doctor. After measuring big week after week and already dilating, he finally caved and said I could go a week early. I love you Syd, but I'm scared of having another 9 pound baby.
5. Yesterday I had to have Abby buckle my sandals so I could go to work. She thought it was hilarious that I couldn't touch my feet. I didn't laugh.
6. Abby ate worms last week. But don't worry, it was only a couple. Of course she 'cooked' them in her 'pizza box lined with foil' SOLAR OVEN first, so they were good for her. She doesn't understand what the big deal is, but has promised to not do it again.
7. Syd's favorite thing to do this summer is cry. She is going to be my hormonal roller coast of a girl and I can hardly wait until she is a teenager. The other day I counted and she broke into tears over 15 times. I can totally understand crying over BIG things, but she was completely distraught over having to brush her hair, wearing socks, getting in on the left and not the right side of the car, Abby touching her, Abby looking at her and Abby standing too close to the door of her bedroom. I think the record is 3 times before 9 AM....and she had gotten up at 8:30.
8. The nursery is almost done, and I'll post pictures soon. Abby wants to know why we have 2 beds (crib and bassinet.) I tried to explain how the bassinet goes in mommy and daddy's room when the baby is super little so it is easier to get up in the night.....she thought about it for a while and then said we should just put it in her room. She said she will take the night shift. I said okay.
9. Abby is starting a bird museum. If you are in the area, please swing on in. She has bird eggs, bird feathers and 1 dead baby bird. It will be worth the $.25 entry fee. But be prepared, you can't touch anything......she just told me it could give you a serious disease. I guess she does listen to some of the things I say.
10. Syd just walked in crying.........Abby stapled her paper too low. Poor girl.
