We made the move from hospital to home on Wednesday afternoon and have spent the rest of the week cuddling and loving our little guy. Everyone is so excited to finally have him here. He is an absolute joy to be around. From the moment he was born, he constantly has a furrowed brow. He always looks very concerned. I'm not sure what he thinks about all of us yet.
Abby and Syd are great big sisters. They want to help with EVERYTHING. They are always willing to hold, feed, and change Evan. He doesn't seem to mind being 'loved' so much and it is sweet to see how much they care for him. As soon as we got home, they both ran and got their friends to show him off.
Derek and I are adjusting to being parents of 3. We are trying to remember what is it like to be a parent of a newborn....lots of work and patience. It took both of us to change the first few diapers and we still think we are going to break him every time we change his clothes. The first night at home was a little shocking as Evan decided to eat and 'play' every 2 hours. But he was so sweet that we found ourselves watching him make sleeping faces instead of going back to sleep ourselves.
We are loving being together as a family. In the words of Syd, "He is FINALLY here!"
I don't blog stock but Melissa said if we wanted to see him to check out your blog. He is so adorable. How nice to have 2 great helpers too. I also love the name. Congratulations you guys.

Seriously, I don't think I have seen you look that happy in a long time. I am thrilled that he is here and that picture of Abby holding him is adorable! Congrats again! I can't wait to see how he grows and changes in the next few weeks.
