Ten years ago today our sweet Abigail Harper came into the world and made Derek and me parents. We were young, barely in our twenties, college students, juggling work and life, and had no idea what we were doing.....but she was perfect, patient, beautiful and we loved her more then we could have ever imagined. And now she is growing up...entering the double digits. She is becoming more independent, she is making important life choices and she is turning into an amazing young women. We are so proud to be her parents.
We love you Abby!

Abigail has been beyond excited for this birthday. I think she mentioned she was turning 10 about 100 times over the past week. She did admit she was a little bummed she had to go to school on her birthday, but hopefully it was worth it when I surprised her with a camo balloon, cookies and lunch in the cafeteria.
She spent the day playing with friends and talking to family on the phone. She requested Yellow Pudding Cake with cinnamon and sugar for dessert at dinner and was super excited when it was time to open her presents. She got a couple gift cards for books and music, some brightly colored headphones, a Pickle game, a couple new HexBugs and a HexBug habitat.
I think she had a great day.....there was an extra wide smile on her face when I tucked her into bed.
Happy Birthday Abbers!

How in the world is she 10!!!! Wasn't it just last year that I babysat her on Friday afternoons? She is beautiful!
