After going through the last year of photos I realized I needed to get myself out from behind the camera more. I take photos to document our life and I'm not in hardly any of them. That isn't right.
So I set two goals.
First: Hand off the camera.
Derek can push the button as easily as I can and Abby is turning into a great photographer. I need to give them a chance. I'm excited to see what they capture and what stands out to them.
Second: Purchased a camera remote.
It arrived last week and I'm still learning the ins and outs of the little clicker, but I was able to capture this special moment between Evan and me. I wish the focus was more on Evan's face then the wrinkles around my eyes, but who really cares. We are together. He is smiling. And he can always look back and know how much his momma loved him.

This is an amazing picture! Love it :)

SO TRUE! I think my kids are going to look back on pictures and think, "Wow, dad and I really did a lot of fun stuff!" Thanks for the idea.
And I couldn't agree with Marissa more - the picture is ADORABLE!
