I can't believe she is 11. She gets more and more grown up every year. She used to worry about bugs and getting dirty, now she worries about friends and boys and clothes and ipods.
I am constantly amazed by her and the amazing young women she is turning into. She is kind, patient and has such a big heart. She is a friend to everyone and is always looking for ways to help others. She is a huge help around the house and is always a pure joy to spend time with. I'm lucky to be her mom.
I hope she has the best birthday, an amazing year and all her wishes come true (including an ipod touch.)

In honor of her 11th birthday, here are 11 little tidbits about Ms. Abby.
+ Favorite food is cheese tortellini with alfredo sauce. She begs me every time we go to Costco to buy her more.
+ Favorite color is blue. She is on the Blue Blizzard soccer team, gets to wear blue t-shirts at Culver and just bought a blue binder for school last night.
+ Loves and collects elephants. She has about 15 currently in her collection. They range from stuffed, to wooden, to painted, to mini little tiny ones.
+ Wants to be a vet when she grows up. She recently got to tour a vetrenarian office and thought it was the coolest thing ever.
+ Asks at least once a week if we can get another pet. It is almost always another dog, but sometimes she throws in a guinea pig.
+ Obsessed with Harry Potter. She listens to the books every night while she falls asleep and is always planning movie marathons.
+ Is a FANTASTIC sister. She does pick on Syd and she does get mad at Evan, but usually she includes them, helps them and makes them feel loved.
+ Loves to bake. She makes amazing chocolate chip cookies, but is also great at pancakes, crepes and cake box cookies.
+ Loves to wear 'big' girl clothes. She recently discovered that she doesn't need to shop in the girls section anymore. The XS shirts and size 6 shoes of teen/women's fit her. She is loving all the new possibilities.
+ Wants to shave her legs. I keep telling her once you start, you can never stop. She doesn't care. She says she is the only girl in 6th grade that has hairy legs and it is so embarrassing.
+ Loves hugs and kisses. She can NOT go to sleep at night without a big hug and kiss from Derek and me. And it can't be a small little squeeze, it has to be a full hug. Otherwise she will chase after you to get exactly what she wants.

I've been talking so much about how old Abby seems lately. It's unbelievable. I'm glad we were able to spend so much time with her at Culver.

At the bottom of your post linked her chop of haircut from 2009! Hard to believe that was so long ago! Hope you had the MOST AMAZING birthday, Abby! It just won't be the same spending this weekend in culver without you :(
