I can't believe that people actually do this for 6 weeks straight. It is completely exhausting. There is something going on from sun up to sun down. I was up bright and early at 7 AM (5 AM Utah time) and really haven't stopped or sat down, unless eating, until right now. Syd was actually begging to go to bed tonight. I can't believe we've only been here one day, and yet we've already completed at least a full week of activities.
Here's a little rundown of everything we accomplished today.
+ high adventure ropes course
+ archery (twice)
+ constructed 2 tile mosaics
+ horseback riding
+ ice skating
+ field trip to the local library
+ rocketry
+ built a paper mache giraffe
+ sailed around the lake
+ indian crafts
+ tubing
+ played catch
+ tons of games of bag toss
+ showered with strangers
Pretty much we are having an amazing experience. I can already tell this is going to be a treasured family tradition. I love spending time with family and the Kopp family LOVES being together in Culver. At camp we are spread out between 3 cabins but spend most of the time in the middle area laughing, talking and telling stories of the younger Kopp years. I can't believe all the stuff they got away with: holes in walls, skipping school, sneaking out.
Okay, off to sleep. I'm going to need all my strength to make it through tomorrow. The schedule includes more high adventure activities, waterskiing, sailing, kayaking, skeet shooting and an alpaca farm.
